East Division Pitcher of the Week: Avery Cook, Utica Blue Sox
Utica Blue Sox infielder Pablo Santos (Rutgers) has taken home the final 2023 East Division Player of the Week award. He batted .462, scoring four runs and driving in six RBIs.
On July 28, he came up big for Utica against Watertown, picking up three hits and three RBIs in the 12-2 win.
The Blue Sox also have taken home the final 2023 East Division Pitcher of the Week award, with righty Avery Cook being the recipient.
On July 24, Cook pitched seven scoreless innings against Oneonta while striking out an impressive 12 Outlaws, which left his final regular season ERA at 0.90.
