East Division Pitcher of the Week: David James, Albany Dutchmen
Mohawk Valley outfielder Jaden Ross (Hudson Valley) has been named the East Division Player of the Week after tallying 13 hits, six runs, 11 RBI and three extra-base hits during the DiamondDawgs’ 4-2 week. Ross went 3 for 5 with a double, a run scored and four runs batted in during his team’s 17-4 win at Glens Falls on Wednesday, then he went 4 for 5 with three runs scored and three RBI during game one of a doubleheader against Oneonta on Friday.
Right-handed pitcher David James (USC Upstate) of the Albany Dutchmen is the East Division Pitcher of the Week for week four after tossing 7.0 scoreless innings during a 2-1 setback at Saugerties on Tuesday. James held the Stallions to three hits, zero walks and zero runs with five strikeouts during the seven innings. James received a no decision on Tuesday, and currently holds a 2-0 record with a 0.52 ERA through three starts so far this summer (17.0 innings pitched).
