ONEONTA, N.Y. –  The Saugerties Stallions collected their third straight victory and second in two days over the Oneonta Outlaws on Saturday.

Both teams scored a run in the first with the Stallions collecting one on a sac-fly from Garrison Berkley (TCU) and the Outlaws from an error on catcher Mason Speaker (TCU).

The Outlaws followed that up the very next inning by scoring a run off a wild pitch to take a 2-1 lead.

That would be the last run scored by the Outlaws during the game.

Brandon Fish (UMass Lowell) led a three-run third inning for the Stallions with a double which scored the first of those runs.

Stallions starting pitcher Jack Walker (Indiana) found his groove after the first two innings and ended his day with eight strikeouts.

Once he came out, reliever James Reilly (West. Conn. St) pitched his longest outing of the season with 5.1 innings pitched while striking out six batters to secure the win for the Stallions.

Before the end of the game, the Stallions tacked on one more insurance run in the eighth inning with an RBI triple from Easton Bertrand (Minnesota).

Reilly faltered in the ninth as the Outlaws loaded up the bases but one last strikeout from James secured the win for the Stallions.

Saugerties now holds a 13-11 record and sit in third place in the East division.

The Stallions will return to Cantine Field on Sunday to host the Amsterdam Mohawks with first pitch at 7:05 p.m.
