The Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League (PGCBL) is excited to announce the schedule for the upcoming 2023 season.  The regular season will run from Thursday, June 1st through Saturday, July 29th, with each of the 16 PGCBL teams playing a 46-game regular season schedule.

The East Division will kick off opening night with a four-game slate on Thursday, June 1st.  The West Division will get their first pitch underway with three games on Friday, June 2nd.    

The East Division will enter the season with a new member, as the Utica Blue Sox will now play in the East after previously competing in the West Division.  The East Division will be comprised of nine teams, including the Albany Dutchmen, Amsterdam Mohawks, Boonville Lumberjacks, Glens Falls Dragons, Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs, Oneonta Outlaws, Saugerties Stallions, Watertown Rapids, and the aforementioned Utica Blue Sox..

The West Division will compete with seven teams, including the Auburn Doubledays, Batavia Muckdogs, Elmira Pioneers, Geneva Red Wings, Jamestown Tarp Skunks, Newark Pilots, and Niagara Power.

There are eight pre-scheduled double headers that will take place throughout the league and are indicated on the schedule as two identical games listed on the same date.  Game times for all games will be announced by individual teams at a later date.

The 2023 PGCBL Playoffs will begin the day following the end of the regular season, on Sunday, July 30th.  The East Division will be represented by six teams, while the West Division will be represented by four teams.  The Playoff structure will take place as follows:

Sunday, July 30th
East Division Quarter-Finals (1 game playoff)
6th seed at 3rd seed
5th seed at 4th seed

West Division Semi-Finals (1 game playoff)
4th seed at 1st seed
3rd seed at 2nd seed

Monday, July 31st 
East Division Semi-Finals (1 game playoff)
Lowest remaining seed at 1st seed
Highest remaining seed at 2nd seed

West Division Finals (1 game playoff)
Lowest remaining seed at highest remaining seed

Tuesday, August 2nd
East Division Finals (1 game playoff)
Lowest remaining seed at highest remaining seed

Wednesday, August 3rd – PGCBL Championship
Best of 3 game series between East & West Division winners.  Locations and dates to be determined by participating teams and the league office.
