There were four games of PGCBL action on Wednesday night, with one team staying undefeated and another being handed their first loss of the season. Read about all of Wednesday’s action!

Oneonta Outlaws 7, Albany Dutchmen 1

The Outlaws scored two runs in the second, three in the fifth and two in the seventh to down Albany. Mario Disso (Pitt-Johnstown), Dylan Broderick (Pitt-Johnstown) and Devin Boone (Marist) all had RBI singles in the win, those of Broderick’s and Boone’s coming in the fifth inning. Ryan Packard (Herkimer) threw seven innings of shutout ball for Oneonta, allowing just three hits and striking out eight. Albany suffers their first loss of the season.

Jamestown Tarp Skunks 4, Auburn Doubledays 3

Auburn scored three quick runs in the first inning, but Jamestown battled back and took the lead for good in the eighth inning on an RBI single from Brandon Lane (Seton Hill) after Jack Davis (Limestone) scored on an error to tie the game. Meanwhile, Pad O’Shaughnessy (Youngstown State) had two doubles. Michael Cervantes (Louisiana-Monroe) went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored for Auburn.

Utica Blue Sox 5, Elmira Pioneers 1

Utica stayed undefeated by scoring a pair of runs in the fourth and sixth innings and one in the fifth. Kade Reinartson (Valparaiso) had an RBI single in the fifth, while Matt Clark (Arizona) had an RBI single in the sixth. Utica starter Nick Casaleggio (Palm Beach Atlantic) threw three innings of one-hit ball, followed by Logan Wenzel (Central Connecticut) tossing three innings of two-hit ball.

Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs 16, Glens Falls Dragons 2

Mohawk Valley fired on all cylinders, scoring five runs in the second inning and putting up eight runs in the sixth. All nine Mohawk Valley starters got a hit in the win, highlighted by Pete Durocher (Manhattan) going 3-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs scored, Orlando Pena (Coastal Carolina) driving in three runs and Marshall Awtry (Goldey-Beacom) going 2-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Starting pitcher Darin Horn (Coastal Carolina) went the distance, giving up three hits and striking out nine.
