The PGCBL season fully opened up on Friday, with 14 teams in action. Here are the final scores from the night across the league.

Jamestown Tarp Skunks 11, Niagara Power 1

The Tarp Skunks scored five runs in the third inning and tacked on more as the night went on to pick up their first win of the season. Jordan King (Delaware State) had a two-run triple as part of that third inning as part of a 2-for-4 night and had three RBIs. Jamestown starter Patrick Demarco (Penn State) threw four innings of shutout ball.

Oneonta Outlaws 13, Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs 3

The Outlaws went on the road and scored seven runs in the fourth inning to take down Mohawk Valley. Dylan Broderick (Pitt-Johnstown) hit a two-run home run in the sixth inning to cap off the Oneonta victory, while Jelani Hammer (Saint Rose) drove in two runs and scored twice on his own.

Albany Dutchmen 13, Saugerties Stallions 10

A wild one in Saugerties. The game was tied at four at the end of six innings but the Dutchmen scored eight times in the top of the seventh to take a 12-4 lead. The Stallions rallied late, scoring four runs in the ninth inning, but fell short. Albany’s Caden Shapiro (Princeton) went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored.

Auburn Doubledays 11, Newark Pilots 1

Auburn held a 3-0 lead through five innings, but scored four times each in the sixth and seventh innings to pick up the victory. Ryan Cesarini (Saint Joseph’s) had a two-run single in the sixth inning then followed it up with a two-run double in the seventh, finishing the night with four RBIs and three runs scored. Auburn starter Chris Auclair (D’Youville) tossed six innings, allowing just two hits and striking out 10.

Utica Blue Sox 7, Geneva Red Wings 6

Utica trailed 5-0 at the end of six innings but stormed back, scoring four runs in the seventh and three more in the eighth to complete a comeback victory. Daedrick Cail (Arkansas State) had three runs score on his single to give the Blue Sox the lead for good in the eighth. Nick Serce (Alfred State) hit a home run for Geneva. The Utica pitching staff struck out 16 Geneva hitters.

Amsterdam Mohawks 13, Glens Falls Dragons 0

The Mohawks used a consistent offensive attack in order to down Glens Falls. Zach Gardiner (Marshall) and Nick Giamarusti (Pittsburgh) drove in three runs each for the Mohawks while Hunter Thomas (Rend Lake CC) hit a home run in the seventh inning. Amsterdam’s pitching staff of Aidan Kidd (NJIT), Von Baker (Cornell) and Carson Cotugno (Wake Forest) held Glens Falls to just two hits.

Batavia Muckdogs 8, Elmira Pioneers 2

The Batavia offense exploded in the sixth and seventh innings, scoring six runs in those two after the game was tied at one through five frames. Danny Burroway (Alvin CC) highlighted the seventh with a three-run triple. Batavia starter Nolan Sparks (Rochester) tossed five innings of one-run ball, surrendering just two hits. Over 4,600 fans flocked to Dunn Field in Elmira for this one.
