A light night of PGCBL baseball, but still eight teams in action. Read about the results from Monday!

Boonville Baseball Club 3, Amsterdam Mohawks 2

Boonville handed Amsterdam just its second loss of the season by scoring in the fourth and fifth innings after the game was tied at one after the first inning. In the fourth inning, Scott Seeker (Western Oklahoma State) gave Boonville the lead with his third home run of the season and Dan Tauken (Rockland CC) had an RBI double in the fifth. Ryan Rifenberg (Lansing CC) went 2-for-3 with an RBI double. Marcus Liss (Mohawk Valley CC) went 7 1/3 innings of two-run ball.

Utica Blue Sox 9, Watertown Rapids 0

Utica scored early and often in the win, tallying runs in five different innings, including three in the fourth on an RBI double from Brady Short (Central Connecticut) and an RBI single from Ryan Enos (East Tennessee State). In the seventh inning, Troy Hamilton (USC Upstate) had an RBI single as part of a 4-for-4 night, driving in two runs and scoring three times. Evan Esch (St. Thomas) struck out 10 in six innings of shutout ball.

Batavia Muckdogs 5, Niagara Power 0

The Muckdogs scored four runs in the first three innings of the game, with Josh Leadem (Rochester) getting it started with an RBI single in the second inning. A three-run third inning was highlighted by an RBI single off the bat of Tyler Cannoe (Salve Regina). Levis Aguila Jr. (Felician) went 2-for-3, raising his season average to .533.

Elmira Pioneers 7, Auburn Doubledays 5

Tied at four heading to the eighth inning, Elmira put up three runs in that frame to take the lead and then held off an Auburn rally. That inning was highlighted by a two-run single off the bat of Bobby Marsh (Florida Atlantic), who stayed hot by going 3-for-4 with three RBIs, hitting an RBI triple in the third inning as well. Zach Roos (Wofford) and Dominic Guccia (St. John Fisher) both went 2-for-4 for Auburn.
