It was a busy Friday night across the PGCBL, with all 16 teams in action. Friday’s action included two exciting walk-off wins. Read about it here!
Batavia Muckdogs 15, Niagara Power 0
This one was all Batavia, scoring all of their runs in the first four innings, including nine in the fourth inning. Mike DeStefano (Canisius) went 3-for-4 with a run scored, while Luis Aguila Jr. (Felician) went 2-for-3 with two runs scored. On the mound, Nolan Sparks (Rochester) threw three innings of shutout ball.
Jamestown Tarp Skunks 9, Auburn Doubledays 6

Pad O’Shaughnessy (Youngstown State) had a double and Johnny Kampes (Goldy-Beacom) had two RBIs and a run scored. On the mound, Patrick DeMarco (Penn State) tossed five innings of two-run ball.
Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs 15, Watertown Rapids 14
In one of the wildest games of the PGCBL season so far, these two teams went blow-for-blow all night long, until Pete Durocher (Manhattan) ended the night with a walk-off solo home run off the foul pole. Garrett Musey (Goldy-Beacom) had two home runs, one of them in the first inning, as part of a 3-for-3, 7-RBI night. Marshall Awtry (Goldy-Beacom) also homered for Mohawk Valley. For Watertown, Tyree Bradley (Bloomfield) drove in eight runs, the most by any PGCBL player in a game this season, going 4-for-4 with two home runs.
Amsterdam Mohawks 11, Boonville Baseball Club 0
Another impressive offensive showing from Amsterdam, scoring six runs in the fourth inning to pick up the victory. In that inning, Cameron Love (Rutgers) had a bases-loaded double to drive in three runs. Brett Coker (Middle Tennessee) had an RBI single earlier in the game. On the mound, Cade Citielli (UT-Arlington) threw five innings of shutout ball, striking out seven.
Utica Blue Sox 6, Newark Pilots 5
The Blue Sox entered the frame trailing by a run but stormed back, with Daedrick Cail (Arkansas State) delivering the game-tying RBI single, followed up by Edwin Tavarez (Felician) coming through with the walk-off single to give Utica the win as part of his 2-for-5 night with two runs scored. Ryan Enos (Oswego State) drove in three runs in the victory, while Luke Odden (Wabash Valley) went 2-for-3.
Elmira Pioneers 10, Geneva Red Wings 4
A comeback effort in a big way by the Pioneers, who went into the seventh inning trailing 4-2, but scored six runs in that frame to take an 8-4 lead, with Bobby Marsh (Florida Atlantic) driving in the go-ahead runs on a ball that just missed the first baseman’s glove. Elmira tacked on two more runs in the eighth inning.
Saugerties Stallions 9, Glens Falls Dragons 1
The Stallions continued their trend as one of the hottest teams in the PGCBL by earning their fourth straight victory behind scoring six runs in the first three innings of the contest, with Alex Rodriguez (San Diego State), Jake Skrine (Indiana) and Garrett Michel (Virginia Tech) all recording RBI doubles in that timeframe. Michel went 3-for-3 with two RBIs and a run scored. On the bump, Alex Canney (Tampa) provided five innings of shutout ball, allowing just two hits and striking out six.
Albany Dutchmen 9, Oneonta Outlaws 7
Down 6-3 heading into the eighth inning, the Dutchmen scored six runs in the top half of the inning to take the lead and do it for good. That inning was highlighted by an RBI single from David Silva Jr. (Ohio Dominican) who did it as part of his 3-for-4, four RBI night and scoring a run. Nick Plue (Manhattan) had a sacrifice fly in that same frame. Scott Griesemer (North Florida) picked up a four-out save to end it.
