Niagara Power 12, Jamestown Tarp Skunks 3
The Power scored early and often, picking up eight runs in the first four innings to pick up a lopsided victory. After the Power scored one run in the second inning they scored five in the third, including RBI singles from Payton Eeles (Cedarville), Jayden Lobliner (Kansas State) and Andrew Fairbrother (Niagara County CC). Lobliner had a big day for Niagara, finishing 2-for-5 with three RBIs and a run scored, while Eeles finished with three hits.
Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs 10, Amsterdam Mohawks 5
Mohawk Valley handed Amsterdam its first loss of the 2022 season by jumping out to a 6-0 lead in the first inning, including a three-run home run off the bat of Garrett Musey (Goldey-Beacom) as well as two-run double from Zach Brush (Saint Vincent). Ernesto Polanco (Coastal Carolina) also hit a three-run home run in the ninth inning to solidify the victory.
Saugerties Stallions 9, Albany Dutchmen 3
After a slow start to the game on offense, Saugerties woke up in the fifth inning, taking the lead by scoring five runs in the frame, highlighted by a grand slam off the bat of Brandon Fish (UMass-Lowell), who finished the night 3-for-5 with those four RBIs. Jake Skrine (Indiana) also went 3-for-5 with a double, an RBI and a run scored for the Stallions. Coulson Buchanan (Wofford) tossed four innings of one-hit ball.
Geneva Red Wings 3, Newark Pilots 2
After Geneva scored a pair of runs in the first inning and Newark tied it in the fifth, it stayed even until the eighth. To break the tie, Max Hitman (St. Joseph’s) scored on a fielder’s choice to give Geneva the lead and eventual win. Hitman went 2-for-3 with two runs scored, while Wyatt Patchett (Le Moyne) went 2-for-4 with two RBIs. TJ Werner (Fairleigh Dickinson) went 2-for-5 for Newark.
Auburn Doubledays 9, Watertown Rapids 3
Auburn got the bats going early, scoring five runs within the first two innings, four of them coming in the first and didn’t look back. Will Ray (Wake Forest) and Blake Murray (Montana State) each had a pair of RBIs for Auburn, while Jake Danyluk (Oswego State) threw five innings of one-run, one-hit ball in the win. Brett Myers (Oswego State) hit a triple for Watertown.
