A quiet Sunday around the PGCBL, with only three games on tap. But there was no shortage of fun, exciting baseball. Read about it here!

Jamestown Tarp Skunks 9, Elmira Pioneers 3

The Tarp Skunks jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first inning and didn’t look back, scoring three runs in both the fourth and fifth innings to pick up the victory. Jacob Bonzon (Roanoke) and Dan Tauken (Rockland CC) also had RBI singles in that frame. Tauken also started the game on the mound, throwing four innings of two-run, one-hit ball and struck out eight. The game was called in the sixth inning due to rain.

Newark Pilots 9, Auburn Doubledays 7

The game went into the bottom of the eighth tied at seven, but a two-run single from Ethan Hurwitz (Oberlin) put the Pilots over the top to grab the win. Newark also scored four runs in the fifth inning, two of them coming off a triple from Aaron Whitley (Rochester).
