Albany Dutchmen 3, Watertown Rapids 0 (Game 1)

In the first game of the doubleheader in Albany, it was Albany starting pitcher Arlo Marynczak (Siena) coming up big, tossing a complete game shutout, allowing just three hits and striking out nine. Albany scored all three of their runs in the fifth inning, including on an RBI single from Nick Plue (Manhattan) and a sacrifice fly off the bat of Cam Jordan (San Jacnito). Brody Keneston (Le Moyne) went 2-for-3 in the win.

Albany Dutchmen 9, Watertown Rapids 1 (Game 2)

The back half of the doubleheader was all Dutchmen, scoring four runs in the fifth inning, including an RBI single from Max Gebauer (St. Rose) and a two-run single from Tyler Young (Lehigh), who went 3-for-4 with a run scored along with those two RBIs. In the sixth, Keneston hit a three-run home run. Keneston went 2-for-3 with three RBIs and two runs scored in game two.

Boonville Baseball Club 14, Glens Falls Dragons 7

Boonville earned its second win in as many nights with a number of key performances. Bryce Collis (St. John Fisher) hit a grand slam, Lane Gay (Frederick CC) went 2-for-5, Donnie Stone (Marist) went 3-for-4 with three RBIs and Tim McHugh (St. John’s) went 1-for-3 with a double. On the mound, AJ Pabst (Davidson) tossed three innings of shutout ball.

Jamestown Tarp Skunks 9, Utica Blue Sox 8

Down 8-4 heading into the bottom of the seventh inning, Jamestown stormed back with five runs in that frame to get the win. Henry Martinez (Wagner) and Cody Bey (Wagner) each had RBI singles during the rally. Pad O’Shaughnessy (Youngstown State) helped the cause all night, going 2-for-3 with two RBIs. Dewey Roden (Le Moyne) went 3-for-5 with two RBIs and a run scored for Utica.

Auburn Doubledays 4, Geneva Red Wings 0

Ryan Bailey (Alfred State) had a strong night on the mound for Auburn, tossing five shutout innings and allowing just two hits, striking out seven Geneva hitters as the Auburn pitching staff recorded 14 strikeouts throughout the night. The Doubledays scored all four of their runs in the sixth inning, highlighted by an RBI single from Blake Murray (Montana State).

Amsterdam Mohawks 3, Saugerties Stallions 2

The Mohawks kept their undefeated record intact by scoring all of their runs in the first two innings and keeping Saugerties in check the rest of the night. Josh Overbeek (Pittsburgh) had an RBI single in the first inning, followed up by a two-run single from Gage Miller (Bishop State CC) in the second. The Mohawk bullpen of Von Baker (Cornell), Collin Brougham (South Alabama) and Nolan Lamere (Clarke) combined for six innings of no-hit relief.

Newark Pilots 9, Batavia Muckdogs 6

Trailing by two heading into the bottom of the eighth, it was another late inning rally as Newark scored five in that inning to take the lead and the win. Fernando Espinal (Cayuga CC) scored the game-tying run as part of a 2-for-4, two RBI night and the go-ahead run was from Michael Doyle (NJIT), who scored on a bases-loaded walk. Aaron Whitley (Rochester) went 3-for-3 with three runs scored.

Elmira Pioneers 8, Niagara Power 2

The Pioneers scored five runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to secure their third win of the season. A bases-loaded triple off the bat of Frank Wayman (UMass-Lowell) was the big blow in that frame. Earlier in the game, Bobby Marsh (Penn State) and Cooper Smith (Seton Hill) each had RBI doubles. Tristan Ciampas (Northern Essex CC) tossed six innings of one-run ball, striking out eight.

Oneonta Outlaws 3, Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs 2

Down 2-0 in the eighth, Oneonta scored three in that frame to give them the win. Chris Baillargeon (Holy Cross) had the big hit in that inning, an RBI double that got the rally really going. Alfredo Delgado (Manhattan) had a big night for the DiamondDawgs, going 2-for-4 with two RBIs. On the mound, Oneonta’s Kyle Mahady (St. Peter’s) went eight innings of two-run ball, while Mohawk Valley’s Ohjiro Motoki (Manhattan) allowed just one hit in six innings of work.
