Here are the East Division Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League Weekly Award winners for Week 2 (June 5-11):
Player of the Week: Gage Miller, Amsterdam Mohawks
Co-Pitcher of the Week: Tyler Sausville, Amsterdam Mohawks
Co-Pitcher of the Week: Colin Ruddy, Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs
Gage Miller (Bishop State) is the East Division Player of the Week after tallying seven hits, seven runs scored, 10 RBI, three home runs and five walks during Amsterdam’s 5-0 week. Miller recorded at least two RBI in each of Amsterdam’s last four victories. During the Mohawks’ 4-1 win against the Oneonta Outlaws on Saturday, Miller launched two home runs and finished the game with three RBI and three runs scored. Miller closed out the week with a two-run home run during Amsterdam’s 16-7 win at Watertown.
Miller’s teammate, left-handed pitcher Tyler Sausville (New Haven) is the East Division Co-Pitcher of the Week following a great outing on Saturday against Oneonta. Sausville went 6.0 innings during his second start of the campaign and limited the Outlaws to two hits, one walk and zero runs with eight strikeouts to lead the Mohawks to a 4-1 win. Sausville is now 2-0 with the Mohawks this summer.
Mohawk Valley right-hander Colin Ruddy( also received East Division Co-Pitcher of the Week honors after tossing 6.0 innings during the DiamondDawgs 9-0 win over the Boonville Lumberjacks on Sunday. Ruddy surrendered just three hits, zero walks and zero runs with eight strikeouts during his second start of the season.
