The Red Wings picked up their first home win of the summer thanks to an eighth inning RBI Fielder’s Choice by Mike Gorham (North Lake College) to give the Red Wings the 3-2 lead.
It was Angelo Bartziokas (Iona College) who came on in relief for Geneva with 2.1 innings pitched with 3 strikeouts while not giving up a run. The Red Wings also held one of the top hitters in the league, Aaron Whitley (University of Rochester) to just one hit in 3 at bats. A big game that finally saw the Red Wings’ bullpen come through in relief.
