West Division Pitcher of the Week: Cooper Polcovich, Auburn Doubledays
Geneva Red Wings outfielder Brandon Gelpi (Baldwin Wallace) has been chosen as the West Division Player of the Week. He batted .444 for the week, with seven RBIs and three runs scored.
His big performance came on July 28, when he hit a home run and put up five big RBIs in the victory over Auburn.
Auburn Doubledays lefty Cooper Polcovich (WVU Potomac State) has claimed this season’s final West Division Pitcher of the Week Award.
Back on July 29, Polcovich pitched six scoreless innings, while striking out nine. The performance ended up being the difference-maker in the 1-0 victory over Elmira.
