From Auburn Doubledays Press Release
The Auburn Doubledays are excited to welcome Dan Shwam as the team’s new manager. Dan spent 16 seasons managing in the Independent Leagues. He managed 10 different teams and won three championships. Since 2010, he has managed in the summer collegiate leagues.
Shwam began his baseball coaching career as batting coach for the Salt Lake City Trappers in 1988-1992. Dan was part of the longest winning streak in minor league baseball history with the Trappers. While with the Trappers, they won 29 games in a row. Due to that success, you can find Shwam’s name at the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY.
He has also scouted for the Montreal Expos, Florida Marlins, and Milwaukee Brewers. The Doubledays look forward to Shwam continuing his winning traditions in Auburn for the upcoming 2024 season.
