LITTLE FALLS, NY – Tuesday night’s game was the closest the Glens Falls Dragons have come to
beating the Mohawk Valley Diamond Dawgs.

They still lost by a few runs, but it’s a step in the right direction.

Mohawk Valley scored all their runs between the second and fourth innings and only allowed six hits in
the Diamond Dawgs’ 7-4 victory on Tuesday.

Jimmy Sullivan (East Hampton, CT/Northeastern) got the scoring going in the second with a ball hit
into right field for an RBI single. That hit would score Richie Sica (Wyckoff, NJ/Rider). The Diamond
Dawgs would add another on a rainbow ball from Zach Brush (New York Mills, NY/LeMoyne) to
center field that scored Ernesto Polanco (West New York, NJ/Charleston Southern). Pete Durocher
(Emerson, NJ/Manhattan) proved why he deserved an All-Star nod and the PGCBL Player of the Week
as well, doubling the Mohawk Valley lead on a bouncing ball to center field. That two-RBI single by
Durocher (who was celebrating his birthday on Tuesday as well) scored Sullivan and Demetrius
Johnson (Glassboro, NJ/Goldey-Beacom).

Noah Lucier would keep the hit parade going with a bouncing ball into left field for a 2-RBI single,
scoring Polanco and Sullivan.

Sullivan would add to his RBI total in the fourth, scoring Sica on a pop fly to right field.

The Dragons would walk a run home in the ninth and get a bases-clearing double from Phoenix
Bowman, but that would be all the scoring that would happen in this game. Dom Spinoso (Syracuse,
NY/Virginia Wesleyan) and new Diamond Dawg Matt Carey (Summit, NJ/Dartmouth) shut down the
Dragons the rest of the way to get the victory.

Hayden Duke (Mattapoisett, MA/UMass Lowell) got the win for Mohawk Valley (18-15), who have
won seven out of their last eight. Jack O’Connor (Hobart) got the loss for Glens Falls (6-28).

Mohawk Valley will be back in action on Wednesday, going on the road to Donovan Stadium to take on
the Utica Blue Sox. They’ll be back at Veteran’s Memorial Park on Thursday to host the Amsterdam
Mohawks. The Dragons will be back at East Field on Wednesday to host the first of three games
against the Saugerties Stallions.
