SAUGERTIES, N.Y. – The Saugerties Stallions will host their first championship game in franchise history. Saugerties will take on the Amsterdam Mohawks Monday night at 7:05 p.m. at Cantine Field.

Saugerties earned a spot in the championship series thanks to an 8-2 win over the Geneva Redwings on Saturday night. The championship is a best-of-three series with game one Monday in Saugerties and games two and three will take place in Amsterdam, starting at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.

Game three is if necessary. The Stallions set a franchise record this season with 27 wins. They finished with a 27-12 record, which was good for second in the PGCBL Eastern Division. Saugerties earned the second-overall seed in the PGCBL playoffs. The win Saturday might earned the Stallions a spot in its first ever PGCBL championship series.
