Albany Dutchmen beaten by Glens Falls in openerAlex Phillips pitched six solid innings and Anthony Vaglica homered to spark the Glens Falls Dragons to a 6-2 win over Albany at East Field in the Dutchmen's season-opening game in the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League. Vaglica had three hits and drove in three runs. He cracked a two-run home run over the left-field wall in the sixth to give Glens Falls a 6-2 lead. That was all Phillips needed to earn his first win of the season. Phillips allowed two earned runs over six innings. He struck out eight and walked four.
