Mohawks to Honor Four At Hall Of Fame Dinner; Maile To Speak

The Amsterdam Baseball/Mohawks Baseball Hall of Fame will welcome perhaps the most distinguished class in its 10-year history during Saturday night’s ceremony at St. Mary’s Institute, with one of Amsterdam’s greatest baseball legends, a standout player turned successful college coach, the Mohawks’ all-time leader in saves and the coach who has won the franchise six titles in the last eight seasons set to be inducted.

Roger Bowman and Paul Mound make up the Amsterdam wing of the class of 2017, with Abram Williams and Keith Griffin entering the Mohawks wing of the hall of fame. Luke Maile, a standout catcher for the Mohawks in the 2010 and 2011 seasons who is now a member of the Tampa Bay Rays, will be the evening’s keynote speaker.

It’s an event Mohawks President and General Manager Brian Spagnola anticipates every year, and this one is no different.
