PGCBL in the Press
LITTLE FALLS, N.Y. - Blake Nation and Steve Luby will be back in the Veterans Memorial Park dugout this summer, guiding the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs through another Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League season.
The team announced its coaching staff would return for a third year together in a pair of press releases last week.
"To say that I am happy to have (Nation) back in our dugout would be an understatement," DiamondDawgs owner Travis Heiser said. "We have been lucky to have two high caliber coaches here such as Blake and coach Luby, and it was my goal early on to ensure that continued."
Nation begins his fourth summer in Little Falls as the reigning PGCBL coach of the year. The DiamondDawgs have won 85 regular season games in his first three seasons, including a franchise-record 32 in 2015 on the way to their first PGCBL championship.
"I'm excited to return this summer for my fourth season as head coach of the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs," Nation, an assistant junior varsity coach at the University of Tampa, said in his release. "The Mohawk Valley is such a great place for baseball, and the fans are top notch. I'm looking forward to another winning season and competing for a championship."
