GLENS FALLS, N.Y. -- Ben Bernard, owner of the Glens Falls Dragons baseball team, plans to install a video board in the marquee sign at East Field, at no cost to the city.
“This would really help out at the ballpark with events and with advertising,” he said in a presentation to the Glens Falls Common Council on Tuesday night.
Sponsors, which currently are recognized with signs on the outfield fence, would gain greater exposure through advertising on the video board, which would be seen by motorists passing along Dix Avenue, Bernard said.
“We can all see the difference it (a new marquee sign) at the Civic Center made,” said 4th Ward Councilman Scott Endieveri.
