SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Onondaga Community College will be home to the newest team in the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League when play opens for the 2017 season.
The Onondaga Flames joined the 13 existing PGCBL franchises Wednesday and will call the two-year school in Syracuse home beginning next summer.
With the addition of the Flames, the PGCBL has grown from eight teams to 14 entering the seventh season since its split from the New York Collegiate Baseball League.
"I spent all summer watching PGCBL games and talking to the owners of several franchises,” said team president Wayne Walker who will operate the team with his wife Alyce. “The players were high quality and the management top notch. We are delighted to join them.”
