Scocca doubled home Matt Pagano in the seventh and Ryan Stekl hit an RBI single later in the inning to add two insurance runs for the visitors. Gage West drove in the only Amsterdam run in the bottom of the ninth with an RBI single, but it wasn’t enough as a new East champion was crowned.

Anthony Herrera relieved Ryan O’Connor in the fifth inning and struck out seven batters while giving up just the one ninth inning run to get the win for the DiamondDawgs. Fernando Guerrero gave up the first three Mohawk Valley runs in five innings of work to take the loss for the Mohawks.
