The Oneonta Outlaws returned to their regular league schedule with a 6-4 loss against the Elmira Pioneers at Damaschke Field on Saturday evening.

Recent addition, Andrew Green (East Tennessee State), paced the Outlaws offense going 4-for-5 with an RBI in the losing effort. Additional offensive support came from Zac Johnson (Illinois State) with two hits and Shane Crain (Louisville) with one hit, one RBI and one run.

Oneonta starting pitcher Donovan Gonzales (UC Riverside) pitched five innings allowing six runs off seven hits picking up his first loss of the 2012 season.

The Pioneers were led by Spencer Brann (UC Davis) who had three hits, three RBI and a run scored. Clark Wise (Wofford) had three hits, an RBI and a run scored and Kendall Konopka (Arizona Christian) chipped in with two hits and two runs.

Dylan Waugh (Arizona Christian) pitched seven innings allowing four runs off ten hits to pick up the win with James Yacabonis (St. Joseph’s) earning the save.

The line score for the evening was Elmira 6 runs, 9 hits and 2 errors and for Oneonta 4 runs, 10 hits and one error, with a game time of 2:18.

The Outlaws celebrated tribute to the Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts of the Otschodela Counsel with a crowd of 1,575. The team travels to Cooperstown on Sunday for a 5:00pm matchup against the rival Hawkeyes.
