Watertown loaded the bases twice with no outs in the first three innings, but could not score as Amsterdam won 7-0.
Tyler Martin (Kentucky) (1-0) started and got the win for Amsterdam. He pitched a scoreless six innings and allowed just three hits. Matt Gage (Siena) came in for the last three innings and shuts down all nine Wizards he faced.
Ryan Dunn (Cal Poly Pomona) got the start for Watertown and took the loss (1-1). He gave up five runs off 11 hits in six innings.
Ed Charlton (NJIT) hits a home run to lead off the game. He finishes 2-4 with two RBI’s. Evan Stephens goes 3-3 with three singles and a run scored.
For the Wizards, the 2-3-4 hitters each manage one hit, but they were scattered throughout the game. They are now 2-5 at home (3-0 on the road)
Watertown is off tomorrow before taking on Elmira at home on Tuesday at 7:00 PM. Amsterdam is home against Albany tomorrow at 7:05 PM
