Throughout the season, the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League will be recognizing a Player and Pitcher of the Night on each game day.

Player of the Night: Ty Babin, Newark (Campbell)

Babin posted a monster night for the Newark Pilots, who picked up a crucial 14-7 victory over the Newark Pilots. Babin went 4-for-5 with five RBIs, driving in runs in three consecutive innings where the Pilots scored all 14 of their runs. The Campbell Camel started his production with a two-run double in the third inning, and tacked on a two-run single in the fourth and another run scoring single in the fifth. Babin also stole a base in the victory. Over his past three appearances, Babin has gone 8-for-12 with nine RBIs, and has been named the PGCBL Player of the Night twice.

Pitcher of the Night: Jack Buckley, Watertown (Franklin and Marshall)

In what has been a tremendous summer, Jack Buckley posted his best outing of the season on Thursday night. The lefthander took a no-hitter into the eighth inning, working 7.2 shutout innings in a 7-0 victory for the Watertown Rapids over the Utica Blue Sox. Buckley allowed just one hit, in the eighth inning, and struck out nine Utica hitters. The Bronx native moved his personal record to 4-1, and helped the Rapids move within a half game of second place in the PGCBL Central. On the season, Buckley has posted a 2.02 ERA with just 31 hits allowed in 44.1 innings on the mound.
