Throughout the season, the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League will be recognizing a Player and Pitcher of the Night on each game day.

Player of the Night: Ben Maycock, Watertown (UConn)

Maycock put together his biggest night of the season to date as the Watertown Rapids clawed out a 15-13 victory over the Adirondack Trail Blazers. The UConn Husky went 4-for-5 with three runs batted in, which all came on the outfielder's two home runs. Maycock's night began early, as he belted a solo home run in the top of the first inning, helping the Rapids to a six-run frame. He added a single in the third inning and a double in the fifth before capping his night with a go-ahead two-run home run in the top of the sixth inning. Maycock's second blast of the night gave the Rapids the lead for good.

Pitcher of the Night: Matt Pierce, Albany (Siena)

Pierce won his eleventh game as a member of the Albany Dutchmen on Sunday evening, working into the eighth inning in a 4-1 victory over the Glens Falls Dragons. The Siena righthander allowed just one run on four hits, and struck out ten Glens Falls hitters without surrendering a walk. In 13.2 innings against the Dragons this season, Pierce had allowed just one earned run, and has recorded 14 strikeouts. It was Pierce's fourth start this season with two or fewer earned runs allowed, and moved his season record to 3-1. On the year, Pierce has walked just two batters in his 31 innings on the mound, and Albany is 5-1 in games where he starts.
