Throughout the season, the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League will be recognizing a Player and Pitcher of the Night on each game day.

Player of the Night: Colin Davis, Elmira (Wofford)

Colin Davis provided the difference on Saturday night in Elmira's 10-5 victory over the Geneva Red Wings at Dunn Field. The Wofford outfielder drove in five runs for the Pioneers, reaching base three times. The centerfielder drove in a run in the first inning on a single, added an RBI walk in the fourth, and capped his performance with a bases clearing double in Elmira's five run fifth inning. The double marked the second consecutive night where Davis recorded an extra base hit after hitting his first home run of the season against Saugerties on Friday night. The Roswell, Georgia native now has eleven RBIs on the season with ten runs scored.

Pitcher of the Night: Matt Pierce, Albany (Siena)

The reigning PGCBL Pitcher of the Year returned to form on Saturday evening, posting his best outing of the 2018 season. Pierce did not allow an earned run over six innings on the mound, and led the Dutchmen to a 7-6 victory over Glens Falls. The Siena Saints struck out four Dragon hitters, and allowed only a lone unearned run on six hits. Making his first start in nearly two weeks, Pierce did not allow a walk, keeping his season total at two over 19.2 innings on the mound. Albany is now 3-1 when Pierce pitches, and the righthander from Schenectacy holds a 2-1 record with a 4.11 ERA.
