Tom Murphy, Colorado Rockies organization (Oneonta 2012)- Murphy, who has spent parts of three seasons in the Major Leagues with the Rockies, got off to a hot start in 2018 with the triple-A Albuquerque Isotopes. In the first four games of the season, the catcher has hit .625 with two home runs. He has reached base in 13 of his first 19 plate appearances on the season, and has led the Isotopes to a 3-1 start to the new season.

Tim Locastro, Los Angeles Dodgers organization (Newark 2013)- After making his Major League debut during the 2017 season, the former Newark Pilot began the 2018 season with the triple-A Oklahoma City Dodgers. On Opening Day, Locastro recorded a pair of hits against the Iowa Cubs, and added a stolen base to his total.

Tyler Rogers, San Francisco Giants (Mohawk Valley 2010)- Rogers pitched twice in the opening four days for the Sacramento River Cats, and was solid in both outings. Over three total innings on the mound, the righthander did not allow an earned run, and only surrendered one hit. Rogers allowed opposing hitters to post just a .100 batting average in his first two trips to the mound this season.

Parker Morin, Kansas City Royals organization (Amsterdam 2013)- Morin, playing for the Omaha Storm Chasers, had a monster day on Saturday against the Colorado Springs Sky Sox. Despite a 3-2 loss, the catcher went 3-for-3 for the Royals' triple-A affiliate and stole a base. Morin is in his seventh season of professional baseball, and has spent time in triple-A in four of them.

Jay Gonzalez, Arizona Diamondbacks organization (Utica 2011)- Gonzalez, who is playing for his second Major League organization, has hit safely in each of his first four games with the double-A Jackson Generals. The outfielder recorded two multi-hit games, and posted a .462 batting average in the first weekend of the season. Gonzalez drove in two runs on Friday against the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp, and added two runs scored on Opening Day.

Zach Remillard, Chicago White Sox organization (Albany 2012-13, 15)- One of the league's only three-time All-Stars, Remillard hit safely in each of his first two appearances for the high-A Winston-Salem Dash of the Carolina League. The former Coastal Carolina Chanticleer went 1-for-3 in his first two games, scoring a run and driving in another. Remillard's third season in professional baseball has seen him hold an on-base percentage of .429 through seven plate appearances.

Raphael Gladu, New York Mets organization (Glens Falls 2013)- The former Glens Falls Golden Eagle enters the second week of the season on a three-game hitting streak. His opening week with the Class A Columbia Fireflies was spotlighted by a 3-for-4 performance against the Augusta Greenjackets on Saturday. In four games, Gladu holds a .333 batting average with five hits.

Zach Rutherford, Tampa Bay Rays organization (Elmira 2015)- A sixth-round pick of the Rays last season, Rutherford began his 2018 season with the Bowling Green Hot Rods of the Midwest League. He recorded two multi-hit games in the first two games of the season, and drove in a run in each game. Through 12 at-bats, Rutherford has recorded a .333 batting average, and has stolen two bases to go with three runs scored.

Rollie Lacy, Chicago Cubs organization (Adirondack 2015)- In his first outing of the season with the single-A South Bend Cubs, Lacy came out of the bullpen to toss three scoreless innings. The righthander, who was an eleventh round pick in the 2017 Draft and is in his second season of professional baseball, struck out seven West Michigan hitters on Saturday, and only allowed one hit. Lacy's efforts helped the Cubs to a 1-0 victory over the Whitecaps.
