PGCBL Championship Series Breakdown![]() PC: Corey Mansfield/Brokenbatblog.com (@Broken_Bat_Blog) Game One of the PGCBL Championship Series is set to take place Wednesday in Victor. First pitch is scheduled for 5 p.m. The Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs and Victor RailRiders will square off in game one of the PGCBL Championship Series Wednesday night at Victor High School. The DiamondDawgs will host games two and three (if necessary). Mohawk Valley won the season series, 2-0, with wins coming on July 23 and June 16. This is both teams’ first appearance in the PGCBL Championship Series. Both the RailRiders and the DiamondDawgs finished in second place in their respective divisions this season. Going into the action, how do the two teams match-up? Here's a look at how they compared during the regular season:

Game One (June 16):The Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs took a no-hitter into the eighth inning and went on to beat the visiting Victor RailRiders, 2-0. Ben Moxley struck out 10 batters in 7.2 innings for the DiamondDawgs. Moxley surrendered just one hit and walked just one batter in his win. Matt Pagano drove in the first run of the game in the bottom of the fifth with an RBI double. The lead was extended to 2-0 in the bottom of the seventh as reigning PGCBL Player of the Week Troy Scocca delivered an RBI single. Zachary Vennaro struck out the side in the top of the ninth to notch the save for Mohawk Valley. Peter Lannoo allowed one run in six innings for Victor in taking the loss. Game Two (July 23): The Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs used a great start from Adam Ashenfarb to defeat the Victor RailRiders, 6-0, in Victor.
Ashenfarb allowed no runs in seven innings of work while giving up just five hits to get the win. Troy Scocca hit an RBI double in the top of the first inning to give the DiamondDawgs an early 1-0 lead. No more runs would be scored until the top of the seventh when Ryan Stekl scored on a wild pitch. Then in the eighth, Scocca took over the PGCBL RBI lead with a three run home run. A Matt Pagano triple and an error plated the final run of the game. Eoin McAvinchey gave up the first two Mohawk Valley runs to take the loss for Victor. What's the series schedule?
