Fans to be treated to rare feat; Herkimer Diamond Mines to sponsor Frisbee Give-A-Way!
The Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs will close out their regular season with a home game this Thursday at 6:35pm at Little Falls’ Veterans Memorial Stadium.
The DiamondDawgs will host the Adirondack Trail Blazers in their final warm-up to the post season. The game will feature the season’s final THIRSTY THURSDAY with beer specials throughout the game.
There will be a FRISBEE give-a-way sponsored by the Herkimer Diamond Mines. The game, the season’s annual Fan Appreciation Night, will be loaded with other surprises throughout the night.
The highlight of the game will be Andrew Turner, a student at Long Island University at Brooklyn and a native of King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, will attempt a rare feat; he will play one inning at each position. In Major League Baseball, this occurred four times, first with Bert Campaneris in 1965, then with Cesar Tovar in 1968, and Shane Halter and Scott Sheldon in 2000. Come out to the stadium and see this unique accomplishment for yourself!
