But in the top of the ninth, Handsome Monica, who had competed in the Home Run Derby in Little Falls just two days prior, hit a two-run home run to give the Mohawks a 9-8 lead. In the bottom of the ninth, Sam Machonis tied the game with an RBI single and Andrew Turner followed with a walk-off single to give the DiamondDawgs the win.

Zachary Vennaro pitched the top of the ninth inning to get the win for Mohawk Valley while Joe Nellis took the loss for Amsterdam.

Glens Falls 3 Albany 1: The Glens Falls Dragons scored lone runs in three of the first four innings to defeat the Albany Dutchmen, 3-1, at East Field.

A fielder’s choice scored a run in the bottom of the first to give the Dragons an early 1-0 lead, Danny Oliveri hit an RBI single in the second and Matt Kleinstein hit a solo home run in the fourth to account for the three Glens Falls runs.  Albany scored its only run of the game in the top of the seventh as Dominic DiCaprio hit an RBI single.

Jake Murray allowed the one Albany run over seven innings of work to pick up the win for Glens Falls. Murray allowed just four hits and walked one batter while registering three strikeouts. Robert Hardy tossed a scoreless ninth inning to notch the save for the Dragons and Jon Reid allowed the three Glens Falls runs to take the loss.

Utica 13 Adirondack 1: An eight-run top of the eighth inning pulled the Utica Brewers away from the Adirondack Trail Blazers and gave the Brewers a 13-1 win in Boonville.

In the top of the eighth, a bases loaded walk scored the first run, another bases loaded walk scored a run, Dominick Bregar hit a three-RBI double and Taylor Olmstead hit a three-run home run.

The Brewers took a 1-0 lead in the top of the third inning on a Tadarious Hawkins RBI single. A Hawkins sacrifice fly in the fifth made it a 2-0 game and Dan Vucovich hit a two-run home run in the sixth to push the lead to 4-0. Adirondack scored its lone run of the game in the home half of the inning on a Ryan Dorow RBI single. Jared Baldinelli got the run back for Utica in the next half inning with a solo home run.

Newark 8 Elmira 3: The Newark Pilots scored six runs in the bottom of the third inning to defeat the Elmira Pioneers, 8-3, at Colburn Park. Despite the loss, Elmira still clinched a playoff birth with Adirondack’s loss.
