In a wild, high scoring affair, the Adirondack Trail Blazers beat the Utica Brewers 15-8 in Boonville on Thursday.
The two teams combined for 28 hits in the game.
The Trail Blazers stamped out any hope for the Brewers with seven runs in the seventh. Adirondack scored in the seventh on a sacrifice fly by Brad Jones, a double by Ryan Paige, , a double byRyan Dorow, , and a triple by Chris Kwitzer.
Kwitzer racked up six RBIs on three hits, including a 3 run home run for the Trail Blazers.
Kyle Walker, Dorow, Bryan Haberstroh and Evan Alderman had two hits apiece for Adirondack(13-21)
Taylor Olmstead had a hot bat for the Utica Brewers(16-20). Olmstead went 2-4 and scored two runs. He singled in the second and eighth innings.
Adirondack's Will Jahn got the win, running his season record to 2-1. He allowed two runs over six innings. Jahn struck out three, walked two and gave up eight hits.
Peter Beattie couldn't get it done on the mound for the Utica Brewers, taking a loss. He lasted just 3 1/3 innings, walked five, struck out four, and allowed five runs.
