Saugerties, N.Y.- Joe Venturino went 2-3 as the Saugerties Stallions (9-12) took home a 4-2 victory over the Glens Falls Dragons (10-11) at Cantine Memorial Veterans Field on Friday. The Saugerties Stallions couldn't get anything going as long as Sam Steeves was pitching. Steeves (Franklin Pierce) pitched for the first five innings of the game. The Saugerties Stallions managed just three hits off of Steeves, who allowed one earned run, walked three and struck out four during his five innings of work.

Jake Vieth (Tacoma CC) put the Dragons on the scoreboard after scoring in the fourth inning. Mark Powell (Bucknell University) finished up the inning by also scoring a run and putting the Dragons ahead 2-0. The Stallions retaliated by scoring one run in the fifth inning and three runs in the seventh inning.

AJ Carkner improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Saugerties Stallions. Carkner struck out two, walked none and gave up one hit Nick Duthu ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed three runs. Nick Duthu picked up the loss. He gave up three runs while pitching for three innings.

The Dragons four game win streak was cut short by the 4-2 loss to the Saugerties Stallions on Friday Night. However The Glens Falls Dragons look to get back on the win column  tomorrow night against the defending 2014 PGCBL champions the Amsterdam Mohawks at 7PM at East Field. Meanwhile the Saugerties Stallions are at Bob Bellizzi Field against the Albany Dutchmen with their game time getting underway at 7:05PM.
