Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Saturday as the Adirondack Trail Blazers (7-8) outscored the Elmira Pioneers (9-6) 9-8.
The two teams combined for 24 hits in the game.
Chris Kwitzer paced the Adirondack Trail Blazers at the plate. Kwitzer went 3-5, drove in one and scored three runs. He doubled in the sixth inning and singled in the second and seventh innings.
Despite the loss, the Elmira Pioneers' Kyano Cummings dominated the Adirondack Trail Blazers' batters, giving up two runs and striking out nine.
Chris Doughty got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered no hits.
