The Mohawks gave it everything they had, continuously pressing before breaking through in the 7th inning. The Mohawks were eventually rewarded with the win. Jamestown won game 1, 4-3 on a walk-off single as the home team at Shuttleworth Park which mean they had a 1-0 series lead before tonight’s game 2.

Zane Stephens (Mississippi St.) had a good start for the Mohawks, pitching 7 innings, giving up 4 runs, all of them unearned. Stephens gave up 6 hits and struck out 12. The Mohawks got off to a quick start as Mike Antico would score on a double play ball to give the Mohawks a 1-0 lead. Stephens gave up a 3 run home run to Alex O’Donnell giving the Jammers a 3-1 lead in the top of the second. Poor defense would result another run for the Jammers as Chase Keng (UTSA) rounded the bases after multiple errors in the top of the 3rd inning to extend the Jammers lead to 4-1. Mike Antico would hit an RBI triple in the 5th inning to give the Mohawks their 2nd run

The Mohawks would show off their power to take the lead in the 7th inning. Antico’s biggest hit of the night would be a 7th inning 2 run home run to tie the game for the Mohawks. Richie Barrella (Manhattan) would make it back-to-back home runs for the Mohawks to give them a 5-4 lead.

Shane Muntz (Wake Forest) would come in to save the game, recording 5 strikeouts over 2 innings as it would end 5-4 in favor of the Mohawks.
