GLENS FALL, N.Y. - The Glens Falls Dragons (12-25) took the loss Wednesday night at home, falling 5-2 to the Oneonta Outlaws (11-23).
The Dragons pioneered the night’s scoring in the bottom of the first with a double from Ryan Beamish (Lee) that brought in Anthony Vaglica (LIU Post).
The Outlaws responded early in the third after a two-run-homerun from Ian Fair (Northeastern) gave Oneonta the lead, 2-1.
Glens Falls’ Dan Lowndes (Siena) tied the game in the fourth with a single that allowed collegiate teammate Matt Hamel (Siena) to cross the plate.
Oneonta took the lead again in the top of the sixth inning, after a double from Benjamin Dubas (Alvernia) and a single from Matt Tsukroff (Binghamton) brought in three runners, making the score 5-2 in favor of the Outlaws. The inning and the game would end at that score.
The winning pitcher was Danny Hobbs (Siena), and Tom Taplin (Buffalo) took the loss on the mound.
The Dragons return to East Field on Friday night for a doubleheader against the Amsterdam Mohawks. First pitch is set for 5PM.
