UTICA, N.Y. - The Utica Blue Sox end their 10-game losing streak on Sunday night with a 10-1 win over the Geneva Red Wings, thanks to a complete game by starting pitcher Dylan Leahy (Keystone College).  Leahy went all nine innings and allowed only one run on five hits and two walks.

Utica gave up an early 1-0 lead in the top of the first to the Red Wings, but never looked back after that scoring 10 unanswered runs on its way to a 10-1 victory.  Devon Garcia (Ohio) had a spark at the plate tonight going 2-5 with a home run and three RBIs on the night.  Kyle Norman (Buffalo) also added three RBIs on the night for the Sox on two hits through four at-bats.

Pitching the complete game, Leahy got the win for Utica, allowing just one run in the top of the first.  This was his first win of the season.  Geneva’s starter Jordan Murphy (UT Dallas) was booked with the loss in a short outing only working three and two-thirds innings pitched, allowing seven runs on 10 hits and three walks.

With the win Utica snaps a 10-game skid and earned its fourth win on the season, giving them a 4-10 record overall.  They have an off day on Monday and are on the road at Adirondack at 7:05PM on Tuesday.

With the loss Geneva falls to 9-5 on the season.  The Red Wings remain on the road on Monday as they travel to Newark for a 7:05PM game against the Pilots.
