Brennen Smith kept the Geneva Red Wings (6-17) off the board during his seven innings of work and the Victor RailRiders (10-14) beat the Geneva Red Wings, 8-0. Smith earned his third win on the year allowing two hits, four walks, and striking out six.
Nathan Koslowski got the RailRiders on the board to during the second inning. He singled and then scored the first run of the game off an RBI single by Landon Powell. Koslowski finished the day 4-5 with two doubles and 3 RBI. The RailRiders held a 4-0 lead going into the eighth, when Jack Zagaja and Aaron Endres added back-to-back solo home runs. Dale Wickham also contributed to offensive, going 3-5 at the plate, as Victor finished the day with 8 runs off 17 hits.
Alec Jordan ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted six innings, walked three, struck out seven, and allowed four runs.
