Dylan Borawski kept the Victor RailRiders (9-12) off the board during his six innings of work as the Adirondack trail Blazers (5-14) cruised to a 6-1 victory on Friday night.
Borawski allowed seven hits and gave up one walk on his way to his first victory of the season. Kenny Collins reached base three times for the Blazers, singling in the third and ninth innings.
Dale Wickham had a hot bat for the RailRiders, going 3-4 on the night. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the first and sixth innings. The RailRiders recorded their only run in the seventh after back-to-back errors by the Blazers. Victor had their own difficulties in the field and committed a total of five defensive errors in the game.
Eoin McAvinchey was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted 5 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed one earned run.
