WATERTOWN — Baseball has been a part of Geneva resident Paul Velte’s life for four decades — and it looks like it will stay that way for the foreseeable future.
Velte, who is the former owner of the Geneva Cubs, recently became a co-owner of a new summer collegiate baseball team in Watertown.
The Geneva native will join Michael Schell as the owners of the new Watertown club, which will begin play in the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League in 2018.
