The PGCBL returns to a full six game schedule on Wednesday, and will also see one of its teams battling an affilate of the Houston Astros.

Newark Pilots at Albany Dutchmen

It will be a busy Wednesday for the Albany Dutchmen, who start the day at 10:00 a.m. with an exhibition game with the Tri-City ValleyCats, the New York-Penn League affiliate of the Houston Astros. Following the exhibition, the Dutchmen will return to Siena College for a meeting with the 1-7 Newark Pilots. Albany, who is sending Nick Artymowicz (Southern New Hampshire) to the mound, will play the Pilots twice this season, with the return trip coming on July 16.
Geneva Red Wings at Utica Blue Sox
Murnane Field - 6:35 PM
The Red Wings and the Blue Sox will play their only two meetings of the season in the next five days, beginning Wednesday at Murnane Field. Both games between Geneva and Utica will be played Utica, with the second game coming on Sunday. Geneva currently sits at second place in the West Division and Utica is in third place in the Central Division. Both teams are looking to snap two-game losing streaks, which included high-scoring losses on Tuesday.
Amsterdam Mohawks at Jamestown Jammers

Amsterdam will search for their first road win of the season against the Jamestown Jammers, who hold the PGCBL's best record at 8-1. Jamestown currently is on a seven game winning streak, and has not lost a home game this season. On the mound, the Mohawks will send Brendan McNerney (RPI) to the mound, while the Jammers will counter with Colin Johnston (Tusculum) in the first of two meetings this week between the teams.
Adirondack Trail Blazers at Watertown Rapids

A winning streak will come to an end on Wednesday night in Watertown, as the six-game streak of the Rapids runs up against two consecutive wins from Adirondack. Watertown has scored 17 runs in two games against the Trail Blazers this season, winning both games. The pitching matchup will see Kyle Smyth (Niagara) looking to improve on his 0-2 record for the Trail Blazers against Watertown's Nick Cowen (Wayne State).
Saugerties Stallions at Elmira Pioneers

Two 3-6 teams will look to begin their rise up the PGCBL standings at Dunn Field in Elmira. The Stallions have won three consecutive contests since an 0-6 start, while the Pioneers have lost back-to-back contests. Elmira and Saugerties are scheduled to play four times this year, with two games at each team's home ballpark. Saugerties will be sending Gregory Allard (Stony Brook) to the mound for his second start of the season.
Oneonta Outlaws at Glens Falls Dragons
East Field - 7:05 PM
The sole game involving two East Division teams sees the top two challengers to Albany in the East Division standings meeting up at East Field. Wednesday's game marks the first of eight meeting between the two PGCBL East rivals.Tom Kretzler (Brockport) will look for his second win of the season for the Outlaws, while the Dragons will give the ball to Mitch Guerrieri (Goldey-Beacom).
