Last Night’s Games:

Mohawk Valley 15 Adirondack 4

The Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs have combined to scored 38 runs over their past three games, using 15 to beat the Adirondack Trail Blazers in Little Falls on Thursday.

The DiamondDawgs scored early and often, plating two in the first and four in the second, including three on a Mac Crispino double. Sean Mazzio hit an RBI triple in the third and a sacrifice fly in the fourth and RBI singles along with an RBI double extended the lead to 11-0 after five innings. Adirondack plated two in the seventh on a Brett Simon double before Mohawk Valley answered with four in its half of the inning on a Tanner Leenknecht grand slam.

Joe McKinney struck out seven over six scoreless innings to earn the win for the DiamondDawgs as Mitchell Boyer took the loss.

Albany 2 Amsterdam 1

The Albany Dutchmen took an early lead and held on to beat the first place Amsterdam Mohawks, 2-1, in the Capital City.

The Dutchmen got on the board in the second inning with a sacrifice fly and added a second run in the third on a Justin Childers RBI single. Amsterdam scored its lone run in the sixth on a Chris Givin home run.

Dylan D’Anna tossed five innings of one-run ball to earn the win as Troy Montemayor notched the save. Austin Keen took the loss for Amsterdam.

Geneva 4 Jamestown 3

The Geneva Red Wings broke a 3-3 tie in the seventh inning to go on and beat the Jamestown Jammers, 4-3, at home.

Jamestown took a 2-0 lead in the fourth and extended it to 3-0 in the fifth on a groundout. In the home half of the sixth, Geneva scored three runs on a sacrifice fly and RBI doubles from Drake Sykes and Monroe Donnelly. An error in the seventh plated the eventual winning run.

Dalton Reed tossed an inning of scoreless relief to earn the win as Patrick Conner notched the save. Steve Simmons took the loss for Jamestown.

Glens Falls 10 Saugerties 3

The Glens Falls Dragons used a seven-run fifth inning to beat the Saugerties Stallions, 10-3, on the road.

Down by one going into the inning, the Dragons then plated seven runs in the fifth on an error, a wild pitch, a sacrifice fly and a Chris Kwitzer three-run home run. They followed that up with a lone run in the sixth before two runs crossed for Saugerties in the home half of the sixth on a hit by pitch and a walk.

Joe Jones allowed three runs over five-plus innings for Glens Falls in earning the win. John Doherty took the loss for Saugerties.

Victor 14 Newark 2

The Victor RailRiders scored multiple runs in four different innings to lead them to a 14-2 win over the Newark Pilots.

The RailRiders struck first in the first inning, plating five on a Dale Wickham RBI single, a Dylan Crutcher RBI single, a Cameron Briggs two-run single and a bases loaded walk. A Jack Zagaja RBI double and another Wickham RBI single extended the lead before a three-run seventh inning in which errors and a Zagaja RBI single made it a 10-1 game. The RailRiders scored four more runs in the eighth and Newark scored the game’s final run in the ninth but the game was already out of reach at that point.

Brennen Smith struck out seven over eight innings to earn the win as Max Ludka took the loss for Newark.
