After scoring the game’s first run in the first on a Luke Reynolds solo home run, Adirondack tied it in the third on an RBI single. Then in the fourth, Newark scored two on a Bo-Hao Huang double. Chris Whelan hit a three-run double in the fifth to extend the lead. After the Trail Blazers plated two in the home half of the fifth, the Pilots scored four in the sixth on a Darian Herncane three-run home run and a sacrifice fly. Jacob Hendricks got the win for Newark while Connor Donahue took the loss for Adirondack. Jamestown 9 Victor 6 A three-run eighth inning propelled the Jamestown Jammers to a 9-6 win over the Victor RailRiders in Victor. The three-run inning was highlighted by a Skyler Valentine home run. The Jammers scored the first two runs of the game in the first but Victor responded with a lone run on a Dylan Crutcher RBI single. It was the same result in the second inning — two runs for Jamestown and one for Victor. Both teams scored a lone run in the third and Ben Brookover hit an RBI single for Jamestown in the fourth. Jack Zagaja hit an RBI single for Victor in the fifth. Down five in the ninth, Victor rallied for two runs on a Landon Powell single but it wasn’t enough as Jamestown got the road win. Steve Simmons tossed 3.2 innings of scoreless relief to earn the win and Joe Kelly notched the save for Jamestown. Luke Tomczyk took the loss for Victor. Utica 5 Mohawk Valley 0 The Utica Blue Sox shut out the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs on Monday, winning 5-0 at Donovan Stadium. The Blue Sox scored the first two runs of the game in the fourth inning on a Kyle Winkler RBI double and a Mitchell Clandra RBI double. Winkler hit a two-run double in the fifth to extend the lead to 4-0. Robbie Young drove home Clandra with a single in the eighth to make it 5-0. Nate Freeman struck out three over six scoreless innings to earn the win for Utica as Anthony Rupp took the loss for Mohawk Valley. Oneonta 6 Saugerties 5 The Oneonta Outlaws won a close game at home against Saugerties, beating the Stallions, 6-5. A bases loaded walk scored the first run of the game in the first for the Stallions. Julius Saporito hit a two-run single to make it a 3-0 lead. Taylor Maxey made it a one-run game for the Outlaws with a two-run single. Carter Austin tied the game at three with an RBI single. Alex Malsch broke the 3-3 tie with an RBI triple and Quin Cotton hit an RBI single to extend the lead to 5-3. Brady Fallon tied the game in the eighth for Saugerties. Cotton broke the 5-5 tie in the home half of the eighth, driving in Kyle Ruedisili for the winning run. Mike Adams got the win for Oneonta as Moshup Galbraith took the loss.
