Mohawk Valley scored the game’s first runs in the sixth inning on a Michael Ketchmark two-run home run. The DiamondDawgs added two runs in the seventh on an error and a fielder’s choice. Albany scored a lone run in the eighth on a fielder’s choice and rallied for four runs in the ninth, three coming on a Kyle Skeels double, to make this interesting but the DiamondDawgs held on. David Palmer struck out eight batters over seven scoreless innings to earn the win for Mohawk Valley. Gavin Wallace took the loss for Albany. Amsterdam 13 Glens Falls 8 The Amsterdam Mohawks scored the most runs they’ve scored in a single game this season, beating the Glens Falls Dragons, 13-8. Each team scored a lone run in the first to kick off the scoring. An error and a groundout in the third made it a 3-1 game for Amsterdam. Tyler Frank and Chris Givin each hit an RBI single in the fourth and an error moved the score to 6-1. The Mohawks scored five runs in the eighth on a sacrifice fly, an error and RBI singles from both Frank and Givin. Glens Falls responded with four runs in the home half of the inning before each team scored two in the ninth to conclude the scoring. Austin Keen struck out seven in 5.1 innings of work to earn the save. Andrew Kneussle took the loss. Elmira 3 Geneva 1 The Elmira Pioneers won their seventh straight game with a 3-1 win over the Geneva Red Wings, 3-1, at Dunn Field. Geneva scored the first run of the game in the second but Elmira responded in the third with two runs, one on an error and another on a Rob Perteet RBI single. The final run of the game came in the fifth om an error. Elliot Lance allowed just three hits and struck out five in six innings of one-run ball to earn the win as Austin Hansen notched the save. Tom Sutera took the loss for Geneva. Jamestown 5 Victor 4 The Jamestown Jammers rallied for two runs in the ninth inning and walked off in the tenth against the Victor RailRiders. Down by two in the bottom of the ninth, Chas Hadden hit an RBI double to make it a one-run game and CJ Pickering hit an RBI single to tie the game at four. Skyler Valentine won the game in the tenth with an RBI double to left field that plated Alex O’Donnell. Jamestown scored the first run of the game in the second on an O’Donnell RBI single. Victor responded with two runs in the third to take the lead on a Cameron Briggs RBI triple and a Nick Russo RBI single. Nathan Koslowski and Ryan Boldwin extended the lead to 4-1 in the sixth with RBI singles. Cory Blessing got the win for Jamestown as Cameron Briggs took the loss.
