Troy Scocca hit an RBI double in the top of the first inning to give the DiamondDawgs an early 1-0 lead. No more runs would be scored until the top of the seventh when Ryan Stekl scored on a wild pitch. Then in the eighth, Scocca took over the PGCBL RBI lead with a three run home run. A Matt Pagano triple and an error plated the final run of the game.

Eoin McAvinchey gave up the first two Mohawk Valley runs to take the loss for Victor.

Adirondack 11 Utica 4: The Adirondack Trail Blazers avenged a Wednesday loss to Utica with an 11-4 win over the Brewers on Thurday.

Evan Alderman hit a leadoff home run for the Trail Blazers in the bottom of the first and Kyle Walker hit an RBI single later in the inning to give the home team an earl 2-0 lead. A Kyle Schade RBI double in the fourth cut the lead in half and a Dominick Bregar two-RBI single in the fifth gave the Brewers the lead. Adirondack responded in the home half as Connor Manderson hit a solo home run, a passed ball scored a run and Tim Burr hit an RBI single.

Walked extended the Adirondack lead in the sixth with a three-RBI double. Both teams scored runs aided by an error in the seventh, which finished the scoring.

Joe King gave up three Utica runs in six innings of work to get the win for Adirondack and Daniel Gober took the loss for Utica.

Albany 6 Glens Falls 1: The Albany Dutchmen used a gem from Nick CIoffi to pick-up a win in the East Division standings and beat the Glens Falls Dragons, 6-1, at Bob Bellizzi Field.

Cioffi tossed a complete game, struck out nine batters, allowed just five hits and gave up one run in getting the win.

The Dutchmen got on the board in the first on a Jack Weiller RBI single, but didn’t score again until the sixth inning as Sean Aspinall hit an RBI triple, an error plated a run, a bases loaded walk scored a run and finally a sacrifice fly scored the fourth run of the inning.

Michael Fitzsimmons hit an RBI single in the bottom of the seventh to finish the Dutchmen scoring. Glens Falls’ lone run came in the ninth as Ryan Hooper hit a solo home run.

Nick Duthu allowed five runs to take the loss for the Dragons.

Saugerties 6 Amsterdam 1: The Saugerties Stallions received a great start from Phil Zdanowski to give Amsterdam its second straight loss, beating the Mohawks, 6-1.

A passed ball scored the first Stallions run in the bottom of the first inning. Dylan Sprague hit a sacrifice fly in the third to extend the lead to 2-0 and three runs scored in the fifth on a John Giakas RBI single and an Eric Downey two-RBI single.

The lone Amsterdam run scored in the ninth on an error. Brad Schaenzer took the loss for the Mohawks.

Elmira 6 Newark 1: Elmira starter Kyano Cummings came within two strikeouts of tying the PGCBL record as he shut down the Newark Pilots, 6-1, at Colburn Park.

The Pioneers took a 2-0 lead in the top of the fourth on a Mike Korchak RBI single and a wild pitch. Both teams scored runs in the fifth inning with Elmira’s coming on a triple and an error and Newark’s coming on a bunt single. A Josh Lovelady RBI single in the seventh and a Justin Hayes RBI single in the eighth extended the Pioneers’ lead. An RBI groundout in the top of the ninth finished the game’s scoring.
