Last Night’s Game:
Mohawk Valley 7 Elmira 2: The Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs scored three runs in two separate innings to defeat the Elmira Pioneers, 7-2, in the only game of the night.
The first three-run inning for Mohawk Valley came in the bottom of the fourth as a wild pitch, a Colin Hawk RBI single and an Anthony Herrera RBI single accounted for the three runs. The second three-run inning came in the seventh on a Troy Scocca two-RBI double and an RBI fielder’s choice.
Elmira scored the first two runs on the game in the top of the first on an RBI groundout and a Hayden Kelly RBI single. A Thomas Walraven RBI single in the bottom of the third got one of the runs back for the DiamondDawgs.
Adam Ashenfarb allowed the two Elmira runs in six quality innings, striking out six batters, to get the win for Mohawk Valley while Jared Proctor gave up the first four DiamondDawg runs to take the loss.
Victor at Amsterdam (DH) 4 p.m.: The Amsterdam Mohawks will take on the Victor RailRiders for the first time this season as the two teams play a doubleheader on Tuesday, making up a postponed June 14 game.
Saugerties at Utica 6:35 p.m.: The Saugerties Stallions and Utica Brewers will face off for the first time since Opening Night on Tuesday in Utica.
Mohawk Valley at Adirondack 7 p.m.: Two nights after Mohawk Valley beat Adirondack, 7-6, the two teams will meet again in Boonville on Tuesday night.
Glens Falls at Albany 7:05 p.m.: The Glens Falls Dragons and Albany Dutchmen will meet for the seventh time this season on Tuesday as Glens Falls leads the season series, 5-1.
Elmira at Newark 7:05 p.m.: Two nights after Elmira won a matchup between the two teams, 8-7, the Pioneers and Newark Pilots will meet at Colburn Park on Tuesday for their third matchup of the month.
All-Star Game Rosters:
The league announced the rosters for the 2015 All-Star Game last night. The rosters can be found here. The game will take place on Monday in Little Falls.
