After a Ben Brookover (UTSA) single and back to back walks to the 3 and 4 hitters set the stage for a big inning, as the Jammers sent all 9 hitters to the plate. Matt Cross (NCCC) doubled to deep left field to score another run, Alex O’Donnell (Mercyhurst) drove in a run via a sac fly, and a 2 out RBI single by Christian Deaton (CSU Bakersville) rounded out the big inning as the jammers took the 5-0 lead after the 1st.
The jammers picked up right where they left off as Collin Stack (UMBC) again led the inning off with a single and later scored on an RBI single by Skyler Valentine (UTSA). Christ Conley (Canisius) reached on an error and scored on an error to increase the Jammers lead to 7-0.
