For the second time this season, the first coming on June 11, every scheduled game in the PGCBL was postponed. In the first three seasons of the PGCBL, that had only happened three times: June 12, 2012, July 26, 2012 and June 7, 2013. To update on the postponed games: The Watertown/Elmira game scheduled for last night will be made up on June 27 in Watertown as part of a double-header. Both games will be seven innings and first pitch for game one is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. The Utica/Newark game scheduled for last night will be made up on July 25 in Utica as part of a double-header. Both games will be seven innings and first pitch for game one is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. The Albany/Amsterdam game scheduled for last night will be made up on July 7 in Albany as part of a double-header. Both games will be seven innings and first pitch for game one is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. The Glens Falls/Mohawk Valley game scheduled for last night will be made up on July 23 in Glens Falls as part of a double-header. Both games will be seven innings and first pitch for game one is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. Now to preview tonight’s games: Adirondack at Glens Falls 7:00 p.m. For the second time this week, the Adirondack Trail Blazers will face the Glens Falls Golden Eagles at East Field. The Golden Eagles won on Sunday, 8-4, and are 7-10 on the season. Adirondack holds a 3-13 record and is in fourth place in the West Division. First pitch is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Albany at Mohawk Valley 7:05 p.m. The Albany Dutchmen started the 2014 season with an 8-1 record and in first place in the East, but the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs have caught fire while the Dutchmen have regressed. The DiamondDawgs currently sit in first place in the East with Albany 1.5 games back. The two teams meet at Veterans Memorial Park on Thursday with first pitch scheduled for 7:05 p.m. Utica at Elmira 7:05 p.m. The Elmira Pioneers have used a combined team batting average of .276, tops in the PGCBL, to get out to a 10-6 start on the season. The Pioneers are tied for second in home runs (8) with the Watertown Rams and have struck out 85 times, the least in the PGCBL. Things have been different for the Utica Brewers, who hold a .191 team batting average (lowest in the PGCBL) and lead the league with 138 strikeouts. The two teams meet at Dunn Field Watertown at Newark 7:05 p.m. Thursday will be the fourth time this week that Newark and Watertown will face off this week. The Rams beat the Pilots on Sunday and the two teams split a double-header on Monday night. Newark is hitting .263 as a team, second in the PGCBL and Watertown is third in the league in runs with 95.
