Saugerties, N.Y.- The Saugerties Stallions (3-6) hosted the Oneonta Outlaws (4-4) on Monday, June 11.

The Outlaws struck first in the top half of the first thanks in part to an RBI single off the bat of Cassius Young (Georgia), scoring Derek Orndoff (Penn State) to give them a 1-0 lead.

The Stallions would battle back.  Saugerties added a pair of their own in the bottom half of the inning.  Cameron Comer (Virginia) had a two-RBI double to score Herman Alvarado (Nyack College) and John Dempsey (Wofford College) to give the Stallions a 2-1 lead.

Saugerties would add another run off a solo home run by Dempsey to give them a 3-1 lead, which they would hold.

The Outlaws would keep battling throughout the game.  They added two more runs in the fifth from a Young double, to trail 9-3. Parker Hendershot (Penn State) hit a solo home run in the sixth to add another run, making the score 9-4.

The Outlaws would come within three runs after a big seventh, adding two more runs off the bat of a Nick DeNicola (West Virginia) RBI double.  Steve Minter (Georgia) would add another run after a sac fly.

Saugerties added another insurance run in the eight after a solo home run off the bat of Bertrand, to make the score 10-6 and eventually securing the win for the Stallions putting them on a three game win streak after an 0-6 start to the season.

Logan Teske (Angelo State) earned the victory and Will Van Beusekom (Marist) took the loss and Jason Antalek (Iona) picked up the save for Saugerties.
